1996 Wellcraft sl21

We picked up this 1996 Wellcraft sl21 in trade. After 3 years of fruitless effort to sell our 1987 Bayliner 2550, I was finally able to trade it away for this little day boat.

It's fun for my teenagers to play with, and I like it too (especially the gas mileage).

It needs a top; we get burned up by the sun every time we use it.

1990 Waverunner III

In Feb 08, our water heater went dead. Plumbers wanted $1000 to replace it.

So, I made a deal with my wife; I'll fix the water heater, and with the left-over money, I can get a jet ski.

I found this one in S Carolina for $400 (including the trailer).

It needed work, but after a couple of days effort, we have another toy.

Boating Has Been Very Good To Us

We're a boating family. My wife got us started and it's been great. We started with our Bayliner 2550, a great boat. But as the family grew, we moved up to our 86 Sea Ray 390 (pictured above). We bought our Sea Ray at the end of the Summer 04. She's a pretty boat, but she's got some problems.

So here is my attempt to give back to the boating community. This page will document my various projects as I fix, tinker and repair our Sea Ray 390. Not all projects are illustrated yet, but check back from time to time.
