Yamaha Waverunner III

Reupholster seat

1

The seat has mold and looks bad. Not the blue part, but the grey is splotchy and moldy.

The seat flipped over. Basically, you need to remove the hardware at each end, and then remove about a zillion staples. I found a small flat screwdriver, together with needle nose pliers, and you can get the job done pretty quick.

The skin comes off of the seat. Unfortunately, I don't have any further pictures, but here is my procedure. Once the skin is off of the seat, I used a seam ripper to seperate the blue and grey portions of cloth, which form the skin.

Then it was a simple matter of using the grey molding cloth as a pattern. Personally, I decided to use white vinyl instead of grey. Once cut from the vinyl, it's just a matter of sewing the two pieces of cloth together, and then stapling it back onto the seat.
