Sliding Door

No longer slides so well. In fact, I later discovered that the rollers were rusted, and no longer actually rolled. Instead, we were simply grinding metal against metal whenever we opened the door.

Sorry, I don't have any pictures of this project. But here are my steps, and here is the roller that I purchased. It makes a world of difference. Now, the door slides open / closed so easily.

Remove the passenger seat and the foot locker

Just a bunch of screws holding everything in place. Probably takes about 15 minutes to remove all the screws and move the seat out of the way.

Tilt up Glass door

I could never figure out how to remove the entire door. But it ends up you can remove the bottom, outside plate, and then tilt the door up 12-15". Which is good enough to get under the sliding door. It took some work, but with patience and a variety of screwdrivers, I was able to remove the old rollers (which were rusted to junk).

New Rollers

I bought these rollers from Aubuchon.com (an online hardware store). Part no. 632320. They are a perfect fit for the bottom of the door, but there is no way to secure it in place ... no screws, no nothing.

So, all I did was jam it in place. It's a tight fit and so far that has been good enough. "So far" has been about 5 years and still working great.
